Inconel 718 Components for Oil & Gas

High-strength Inconel 718 components for wellhead, subsea, and downhole applications in the most demanding oil and gas environments.

Inconel 718 in Oil and Gas Service

The oil and gas industry demands materials that combine high mechanical strength with resistance to corrosive downhole environments containing hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorides, and organic acids at elevated temperatures and pressures. Inconel 718 meets these requirements with tensile strength exceeding 180 ksi, excellent resistance to sulfide stress cracking (SSC) and hydrogen embrittlement when properly heat treated, and reliable performance at temperatures encountered in deep and high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT) wells. The alloy is widely specified for NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 compliant applications in sour service environments.

Components We Manufacture

CastAlloy produces Inconel 718 oil and gas components through forging, investment casting, and precision CNC machining. Key components include wellhead and Christmas tree bodies, valve bodies and trim (gate, globe, check, and ball valves rated to API 6A and API 6D), subsea connector hubs and flanges, downhole tools including packers, mandrels, and safety valve components, completion equipment, and high-pressure tubing hangers. Our forging capabilities produce components with the refined grain structure that maximizes fatigue and impact resistance for pressure-containing applications.

Quality for Oil and Gas

Oil and gas components require compliance with industry-specific standards including API 6A, API 6D, NACE MR0175/ISO 15156, and customer specifications. CastAlloy's ISO 9001:2015 quality system supports full material traceability, heat-specific mechanical testing, hardness verification per NACE requirements (HRC 40 max for sour service), non-destructive testing including ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant inspection, and hydrostatic pressure testing when required. All components ship with complete documentation packages. Request a quote for your oil and gas Inconel 718 requirements.
