Pollution Control Environments
Environmental pollution control systems expose materials to some of the most aggressive corrosion conditions in industry. Municipal and hazardous waste incineration produces exhaust gases containing HCl, HF, SO2, and heavy metal chlorides at temperatures of 1,200–1,800°F. When these gases cool below their dew points in downstream equipment, they form highly corrosive acidic condensates. Industrial scrubbers and catalytic systems similarly combine high temperatures, acid exposure, and thermal cycling. Inconel 625 is specified for the hottest and most corrosive zones in these systems.
Components We Manufacture
CastAlloy produces Inconel 625 components for waste-to-energy and hazardous waste incineration systems (boiler tubes, superheater tubes, refractory anchors), catalytic converter substrates and housings for industrial emissions, wet and dry scrubber internals, thermal oxidizer components, and regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO) heat recovery elements. Manufacturing methods include investment casting for complex internals, forging for structural pressure-containing components, and precision machining for close-tolerance fits.
Environmental Compliance
CastAlloy supports operators of pollution control equipment in meeting increasingly stringent emission regulations by providing materials that maintain equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime for corrosion-related repairs. Reliable materials mean reliable emission control. Contact us for pollution control equipment components.
